Class Cancellation Policy
Roxy here, the owner of Valkyrie Fitness.
This is an update on our class cancellation policy.
Currently, we ask that members give us at least 2 hours notice when cancelling their class reservation. Only when canceling within the two hour window will a member either lose that class pass (with 4x or 8x memberships) or be fined $15 (with unlimited memberships). This will not change.
The studio also promises to give you 2 hours notice if we need to cancel a class due to low attendance. Currently, we only cancel the class if there are no students signed up 2 hours prior to the class start time. Since we are going through a slow season, we will need to update this policy.
Many students don’t realize this, but it takes roughly 3 members in a class to cover the cost of paying an instructor to teach that class. So starting tomorrow (11/11), all classes that have less than 3 students singed up 2 hours prior to the start time will be cancelled. If a class is cancelled you will receive a text or email, depending on what information you have saved in your VF profile.
Both 5:30am and 6:15am classes will be cancelled at 9pm the night before if they have low attendance. 9am classes will be checked 2 hours prior (at 7am), like all the other classes.
What does this mean for you?
If you know that you want to attend a specific class, make sure to sign up at least 2 hours in advance. If you are still able to sign up at the last minute if the class has not been cancelled.
If you have friends who you think would like our classes, make sure to use your guest passes! You can also send them the friends and family rate on our two week class pass: 14 Days for $14.
Double check that your correct cell phone number is save to your VF profile so you can receive timely text notifications of class cancellations.
Finally, I want to wrap up with my vision for this studio. My dream has always been to create a welcoming and beautiful place for people to move their bodies and fall in love with fitness. My goal is for all members to get to use their membership to its fullest potential. My hope is that this message inspires you to book more classes, because we would love to keep seeing you around the studio making your fitness dreams come true <3
